Looking for some opinions...

I am reshuffling my AA to a more conservative 60/40 makeup as I have been convinced I don't need to be as aggressive as I was to hit my targets. Some of my conversations with those much smarter than me have suggested taking a portion of my bond allocation and buying some preferred stocks, foreign bonds, and some high yield bonds if I want to juice my overall bond yields. So far, my bond allocation has been all intermediate bond funds/ETFs and cash. I was thinking about allocating as follows with bond piece... 24% Intermediate, 10% preferred, 3% foreign, and 3% high yield. More specifically, the following ETFs at Schwab... SCHZ, PGX, PCY, and PHB. Thoughts?
