Can someone explain to me how the Nasdaq is up 1.44% and the S&P is up 1.49% and yet both my Fidelity index funds are DOWN 3.88% and 3.74%?
That's a difference of 5.32% and 5.23% respectively. I noticed this happened once before just a little while ago. Usually they're right near the same return of the index they mimic. What am I missing?

Maybe they haven't yet updated to today's closing prices. Check in another half hour.

I bet that's it, thanks. Quite the shock when I saw those funds losing thousands rather than a small gain.

these are mutual funds they (unlike ETFs) don't get priced until well after the market closes. Check in a couple hours at least
Right. Even after the close, sometimes they change later in the evening.

I have FUSVX. Those index funds usually priced by 5:30pm daily.
