a share consolidation or a computer error

( or a newly listed share ??)

according to Bloomberg it opened today at $25.00

i hold the Australian listed versions of BHP , and JHG .

You must learn from the mistakes of others. You can't possibly live long enough to make them all yourself.

Current Seadrill’s shareholders will receive 1.9 percent of newly issued shares.
Old shares are gone.

Previously there were about 504 million shares, those have been reissued as 304,000 new shares. That's about 1 for 1650 reverse split for shareholders prior to today. So if you held less than 1650 shares, you now own none.
