It looks like the two founders of the contest will be more or less neck and neck, in 13th and 14th place, when the rankings update.

Shows that contest definitely not rigged .

One of the founders been trading left and right. The other, a few trades to get the AA right, then sitting back and treading water .

I haven't logged on for a while, and of course I've done absolutely nothing since I bought my positions in S&P 500 funds and yet I continue to be 7th. I expect the names above and below me to change somewhat and I might actually fall a bit towards the middle. I always claimed that I would be mid table and I assume the active traders all belived they would be towards the top of the table......looks like the only people who got things wrong are the active traders that are below average. But we all knew that would be the case going in - didn't we.

I would expect you to be right around the 66th percentile (so ahead of 2/3 of the participants) if investment costs were realistically modeled. If taxes were considered, I'd expect you to be in the top 10-25%.

How many would you consider active traders? There's me and maybe one other. Are there even three or four? None of us fit the technical definition of professional trader. I'm not sure about active.

Anyway, with both domestic and international events going a little crazy I took a longer term approach with $342,300 in SCHF (SCHWAB INTERNATIONAL EQUITY ETF), betting against the US, but I still have $445,860 in HON which I believe I bought low.

You might consider going in to reinvest your dividends rather than just letting that 2% just sit-out the ride.

Just for fun, here's the trades that our leaders have made. We can see that NFLX and SHOP are what put comsecga in the lead, Totoro has consistent wins, exnavynuke has succeeded with FAS, SSO and XLF, and DieWurst has the simplest of the leader board with some international indexes.

The worst trade of Fermion1 seems off (133%)?

Thanks for that bit of eyeballing of the data there, Totoro. Because I had to introduce a fake transaction that the simulator didn't have (but should have), something went wrong there. He borrowed stock and sold it for $235K. The missing transaction was buying $547K of worth of stock at the end. I'm not sure I'm doing the % correctly on short sales. Would it be -311/547? I didn't chase it because it's a side effect of the hack I had to make for the shorted then de-listed thing. Hopefully there won't be any more of those simulator errors.

So much for dabble in SCHWAB INTERNATIONAL EQUITY ETF. I planned to keep it long term but the world is getting more screwed up. Back to buy and sell.

If I extrapolate Boho's performance versus the market for the past three months alone, he could surpass nunnun in another 11 months.

Big IF, IMO. I suspect it's just noise, as I have not been able to discern any defined strategy from Boho.

He's still ~ 9.88% behind a couch potato approach.

I don't know when this thread got two stars but I think I'm not doing as badly as some people would like and they think the thread no longer speaks for itself.

I don't think I've ever voted for a thread, and I never pay attention to it. I'm not sure what significance you see in a single 2 star vote.

IMO, you're doing plenty bad. Though I don't know why you'd think anyone would 'want' or 'like' you to do bad. I merely expect it.
