Thumbs up Free NP admittance for 2011

Lots of time to plan your trips to our wonderful national parks. Gotta love that big chunk in April.

Quote:

The National Park Service has announced several fee-free days for 2011. On these free entrance days, you can visit any national park without paying the usual entrance fee. One fee-free weekend has already passed (Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday weekend), but there's plenty of time left to plan a trip on one of the other dates, which are:
  • April 16 - 24
  • June 21
  • September 24
  • November 11 - 13
To help you plan your visit, the National Park Service has compiled a list of national parks that are participating in the free entrance days program.

Remember, if you are 62 or older you can pick up a lifetime pass for $20.
