Good news!

My older daughter is only 3, but we were at LegoLand a couple weeks ago and I lost her. We were with two other families and trying to coordinate on the map where we were going next. Someone says, "Where's Tori?" and I start looking around in a panic. One of the grandpas says, "I think I saw her walking that way" - THEN WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY SOMETHING!?!?!?

I run around the corner to find her trying to get in line for a ride she isn't big enough for but looked fun. Some mom was already trying to turn her around and look for her parents. I've got the classic hand on heart running motion down and scoop her up, noticing the sideways glance from the parent suspicious I'm drunk and a bad Dad or something.

My daughter has Down Syndrome, so I'm always concerned some sicko will think he can snatch her without her putting up much of a fuss due to speech delays etc. I'll stop worrying about 50 years from now....maybe!

I wish there was someone I could give advice to, and they would at least pretend to listen for a few minutes.

Isn't going to happen.

Ha

Same here. Mine is 90. Says I eat too fast. Not sure why she says that. Always recommending Beano tablets.

Dawg, my dad says that, too. Well, not the Beano part.
Are you perhaps, ahem, gassy when you go see her?

Me? Of course compared to my aunt, anyone would like they are eating fast. It took my 96 year old aunt 45 minutes to gum eat a hamburger the other day.

Piano88,

Glad to hear he is okay.

Back in '66 or '67 when I was in the military I received a letter from my mom saying how sorry she was that I had broken my wrist. I wrote to her saying my wrist was okay. Her response was she was sure I had broken it since I had not written for several months. (I wrote home more frequently after that.) Parents worry about their children no matter how old their are.
