How about if you are meeting family for a holiday or event, and you are the one who lives away? Either you travel, or your grandparents, siblings, and their kids travel.

Or maybe you just stay home and miss it this time. Having kids means making a few sacrifices. Who knew? Why should the rest of the passengers suffer just because you can't bear the thought of spending a single Thanksgiving without your parents/siblings?

Most kids aren't any worse than adults on planes, and most flights don't last more than two to four hours, and most passengers aren't affected by children traveling (because their seats are out of range). Suggesting that families with small children never travel by air is probably a touch extreme.

Sometimes I do hate the planning part esp finding connecting flights that work and can shorten the transit time. Also, agreeing with your travel partner/s on what where when....sometimes you don't know how much to compromise and you wonder whether this is a holiday after all....
