I bought a Honda CBR 150 and rode her from Pattaya to Chiang Mai. After one week in CM, I rode down the west side of Thailand, stopping at Mae Sot, then Kanchanaburi. 2,600 kms and a very tired butt :)

1 My $2 breakfast- cup of coffee and four roasted eggs, in the mountains west of Petchabun
2 Pocket Rocket- 150cc thumper (one cylinder)
3 Mountain view- Rt 12, westbound to Phitsanulok

Sounds like a great trip.

How big a leap for you was buying a motorcycle? (Had one in the past or did you just decide now was your time to try the Asian easy rider lifestyle?)

Hi H!

This is my 4th bike- two in the US and two here in Thailand. I bought this one used. I rode the bus to Korat -350 kms from Pattaya- and rode her back home :)

I love to ride, but it is dangerous. People here pretty much go where they want, signals and law be d*mned :)

1 Great coffee
2 My $14.50 /night hotel in Chinag Mai, air and Wfi compliments
3 The obligatory Samoeng Loop pic, a fun day drip from Chiang Mai
