Round the World trip

I was googling New Zealand air Business Class and this Aussie company popped up.They put together RTW trips. Looks interesting. Virgin Atlantic BC $5900/ea

I haven't taken a trip longer than about 3 weeks.

May still do it some day.

I'm not averse to buying a ticket that cost that much. In fact $5900 for business class just between Australia and the US would not even be the highest fare.

I guess if you customize it with different starting points, the price might change radically.

But if I'm going to spend that kind of money, I would want it to count against status and bonus miles, etc.

I go for status with UA so the Star Alliance option is over $9700!

Yikes ...

BTW I managed to find business saver award to New Zealand on UA starting in a couple of days. Really rare to find so the dates weren't optimal but it's still in January, their peak season.
