I spent the night in Pai at a 200 baht ($6.60) rustic hillside bungalo, complete with hot water shower and mosquito net. Pai is a sleepy little town that turns in to a street market at sundown.
Up early the next morning I treated the Mini Beast to a tank of gasohol E10. The tank capacity is 3.7 liters, s bit less than one US gallon. The damage on this fill up was $3.34 for 2.7 liters. My long term average is 55 kilometers per liter or 120 miles per gallon. The Mini Beast was programed for LBYM at birth
The road from Pai to Mae Hong Son was curvy and fun to ride, even on my little MB. I had to pay a bit more for lodging in MHS, $10.90 for a clean fan room-hold the air con please.
For dinner I had some Rad Na, noodles in gravy, at a scenic little restaurant near the center of town. Then back to my room and sweet dreams about mountain roads...
