Virginia Beach

DW and I are planning a short 2-day trip to Virginia Beach. I would appreciate any recommendations on some of the nicer hotels in that area since we have not been there before. Thanks much

a couple of suggestions.....

Hi Gonzo.

just a couple of suggestions for places to stay while in Virginia Beach....There's the Turtle Cay Resort, or any of the hotels on the North End are good, eg..Hilton....I'm not sure what price range you're in or what kind of atmosphere you're looking for so I hope these suggestions are helpful. Have fun!

I lived there for several years, and went back for business sometimes. At the beach, the Hilton was on par with any other Hilton, and the Embassy Suites was good as well. If you'd rather be in the city areas, I prefer the new Residence Inn in nearby Norfolk. Then you could drive to the beach. The best beaches are of course away from the hotel (Fort Story).
