The Clinton _hit list

Did you favorite pol or newsguy make the list?

Quote:
Several names and entities are common among various list makers. The lineup invariably begins with A-list members like Governor Bill Richardson of New Mexico; Representative James Clyburn of South Carolina, the House Democratic whip; Gregory Craig, Bill Clinton's lawyer in his impeachment and trial; David Axelrod, Obama's chief strategist; Senator Claire McCaskill of Missouri; and several Kennedys. Some members of the Democratic Party's rules committee, the state of Iowa and the caucus system in general are also near the top.
The news media have already focused on some list entries, including the online gossip purveyor Matt Drudge (who had the nerve to show up at Hillary Clinton's departure speech on Saturday), Todd Purdum of Vanity Fair (the author of a recent profile of Bill Clinton) and the cable network MSNBC (whose hosts Chris Matthews and Keith Olbermann are charter list members, Clinton associates said).

This is kind of childish of them and who cares. They are not in power so what can really happen to these folks. If I were on the list I would not lose any sleep over it. Talk about a couple of attention whores.

That piece is nothing but speculation from a conservative journalist looking to grab a headline.

If you are a conservative and dislike the Clintons... you will read it and buy into it.

There are two angles: Politics and Friends.

On the political side... it is politics and support or non-support for causes count. no matter who the person or party happens to be.

On the friendship side... people like Bill Richardson that abandoned Hillary early on should expect that she would not appreciate it. Who would? The only sane reason I can think of... Richardson was hoping to be on the VP shortlist. Otherwise, he probably should have waited... His early endorsement made no difference... except to show that he would abandon a political friend (probably not good for his future). If I were Obama, I would see Richardson as a fair weather friend when the going gets tough.

A NEW Clinton hit list? Wow, I hope none of the poor folks on the list become "suicidally depressed"......

True or not in its particulars, it ought to be true.

The essence of political power is rewarding those who are loyal, and hurting those who are not.

Anything else is loony.

Gee Ha, if I didn't know that you're on the West Coast, this would lead me to believe you were in Cook County, Illinois!

Ha
Deadly true in communism and dictatorships.

Here the disloyal is just removed from the "A" list. To be reinstated when politically expedient.

Richardson's comment suggest otherwise:

Well, if nothing else, it sounds like the Clintons have something in common with Dick Nixon: an enemies list.
