If there was only some way Hillary could hang in until the convention.....what a show that would be. If there could just be a scenario where the nominee was actually determined at the convention, wow! The Superbowl of politics!!

This is SO not true! He's shown us change already!
-- Didn't he show CAHNGE when he went from embracing Rev Wright to throwing him under the bus? (THAT's change I can believe in!)
-- Didn't he show us CHANGE when at first he pledged to forego big-money politics as usual and use a publicly financed campaign, but now is backing away from this pledge? That's CHANGE.

I think he'll be showing even more changes in the months ahead.

Ann Coulter has an interesting article on why Mr. Clinton cost Mr. Gore the election in 2000 and on how he is costing Mrs. Clinton the election in 2008.

Ann Coulter - ONE DOWN, TWO TO GO (7 May 08)

Welcome to AnnCoulter.com

It will be interesting to see who Ms. Coulter a conservative will endorse for President.

God Bless Us All

You mean Ms. I'll fight to impeach McCain if he's elected? Yes, that'll be interesting.

Yes, that same Ms. Coulter who does not like Democrats but also does not like Mr. McCain. That's why it will be interesting to see who she will endorse.

It's all blather, whether Michael Moore/Al Franken or Ann Coulter/Rush Limbaugh...

As George Carlin might say, "it's bad for ya"...

I've been working on a song, inspired by talkshow pundits and reality tv:

That'll turn your brain to mush
Leave nothin' in your head
That'll turn your brain to mush
Listen to what I said.

That'll turn your brain to mush
All your neurons dead
That'll turn your brain to mush
Might as well be dead.

ABC Political Punch - Obama-Backing Congressman Compares Hillary Clinton to Glenn Close in 'Fatal Attraction'

Political Punch

Excerpts from the article

Chris Rock said it last month: "It's going to be hard for Barack to be president. ... Hillary's not going to give up. She's like Glenn Close in 'Fatal Attraction.'"
Then NPR political editor Ken Rudin made the joke, saying on "CNN Sunday Morning" that Clinton was "Glenn Close in 'Fatal Attraction' -- she's going to keep coming back, and they're not going to stop her." (Rudin later apologized.)
This week, Obama-backing Rep. Steve Cohen, D-Tenn., said on local television, when asked about Sen. Clinton, that "Glenn Close should have just stayed in the tub."
All were referring to Close playing the insane, deluded Alex Forrest -- the wronged "other woman" who refuses to accept her fate and just go away, and becomes suicidal and homicidal. (And also rabbit-cidal.)

End of excerpts.

First it was Mr. Rock, then Mr. Rudin and then it was Mr. Cohen making references in comparing Mrs. Clinton to Ms. Close's insane character on Fatal Attraction.

One has to wonder if the com·par·i·sons are justified? Were they made as a joke?

Here's to hoping that Mr. Clinton does not blow a gasket over this.

God Bless Us All

She might not give up as soon as some believe she should.

I don't think she likes anybody, except herself.

I do not think that Mrs. Clinton will quit.

Kind of scary = now we know what Mr. Clinton might have had to put up after that fatal encounter with the intern in the blue dress.

With Mrs. Clinton winning West Virginia and her campaign being in debt to the tune of about $20 million I do not see her quitting anytime soon.

God Bless Us All

That's how leaders of political parties are elected in Canada [see Leadership Convention]. It is not as exciting as you would think (although many people still remember the 1968 Liberal convention, when Judy LaMarsh, a Paul Hellyer supporter, entreated him to throw his support behind Robert Winters and block Pierre Trudeau: “Don’t let that b*stard win it, Paul. He isn’t even a Liberal!”).

Salon.com - She won't go easy

Camille Paglia on HIllary Clinton, Barack Obama and the democratic nomination | Salon

Excerpts from the article

May 14, 2008 | "She Came to Stay." That was the American title of Simone de Beauvoir's first book, a 1943 roman à clef about a manipulative and self-absorbed young woman who saps the energy and willpower of her admirers and plunges them into the existential abyss.

Bulletin to all nations: help! Tornadoes, typhoons and earthquakes batter the globe, while the U.S. is teetering into recession and paralyzed by a stupid war it can neither win nor quit. But somehow we are locked at the hip to Hillary Clinton, who won't stop her manic tarantella until her party whirls into ruins, like the run-amuck carousel in Alfred Hitchcock's "Strangers on a Train."

Excerpts from the article.

I guess this would or might explain why Mrs. Clinton keeps on moving the goalposts and she keeps on with the fuzzy math.

By all accounts the party is over and it is time for her to head to the barn for a well needed rest.

I am sure that this is not a good time for Mr. Clinton - I hope that he does not have a cow over this.

God Bless Us All

A superb strategy for Barrack supporters now is to mock, tease and alienate the Hillary supporters. Make them feel so bad they couldn't even consider voting for Barrack. Really piss 'em off! Make 'em feel bad! Remember, they were dumb enough to support Hillary so you and Barrack sure don't need them now!!

Red face

John Edwards has just endorsed Obama ( as if it wasn't inevitable)

Handwriting on the wall for HRC and Mr. Bill. Maybe Obama is correct about her May 20 exit.

Does anyone think that if and when Mr. Obama secures the nomination, that Mr. Edwards will
be on the ticket as the VP nominee?

I think Mr. Edwards might help Mr. Obama with the blue collar vote.

IMO, Mr. Barr will hurt Mr. McCain with the conservative base and take some of those conservative votes.
