Maybe that will be a long wait. I have heard from reliable sources that Hilary is exploring the potential of running as a third-party candidate if she's denied the Democratic party nod (especially if she goes to the convention with more popular votes than Obama--which is the case today). Running as a populist with a load of policy prescriptions for America, she'd be the only candidate with the experience and connections to bring the masses the largess for which they are clamoring.
Her war cry "I didn't leave the Democratic Party, they left me!"
The lightning campaign (A "ClintKreig"), possibly relying on federal election funds in order to highlight her freedom from big money interests, would be in stark contrast to Obama's privately funded effort.
Count on heavy support from feminists (she is, after all, the first serious female presidential candidate) and blue collar voters, together with other constituencies that have been key to her success. Victory will depend on some type of derailment(s) of Obama, but that eventuality appears entirely possible. He doesn't have to get derailed, just remain distracted and "off message" as he's been for the last three weeks.

Just the threat of such a run might be enough to help the Democratic Party superdelegates see the importance of giving her the nomination. What does she have to lose--her "reputation?"

More seriously, I don't quite buy that Hillary has more of the popular vote. IIRC, for that to be true, you need to include MI and FL. The elections in those states were held under rather odd circumstances. I just don't think you can honestly say that they are indicative of the will of the people.

I know Hillary can say it, but....

Right, you have to include FL and MI for Hillary to be ahead. But, don't think that's unreasonable. Obama pulled himself off the MI ballot as a tactical move so he wouldn't be seen as losing to Hillary. And, they were both on the ballot in FL, and neither campaigned there.

Anyway, the numbers will change again after the elections in IN and NC.

For Hillary to be ahead you also have to ignore those states that were caucus only - no popular vote.

She can't count, she can't pump gas, she can't run a coffee machine - yeah she'll be fine as president.

and we have better things to worry about like the price of gas, the economy, losing one's home, the home mortgage fisaco, the education of our children, wages, the care of OUR TROOPS and OUR VETERANS, and the Iraq War (just to name a few), then to ponder about what Pastor Wright might or might not have said.

We're interested in learning about a candidate who is much more of an unknown quantity than his opponent. What's wrong with that?

And, please note, there is little question about what Wright might or might not have said. As additional footage of his sermons is aired, his message is crystal clear. The question is whether Obama is a closet believer in these philosophies and, if not, why did he remain associated with Wright over the years? What's he thinking? What makes him tick?

It seems against your normal stance to want to cut off discussion and debate Wags.

It appears that blacks will still home and not vote in November if there is a perception that the nomination was taken from Mr. Obama and given to Mrs. Clinton.

If that happen there is no way that Mrs. Clinton can become President whether she runs as a Democrat or an Independent. The only one who will benefit from this will be Mr. McCain.

If it is fair to associate Pastor Wright's views as those of Mr. Obama then would it be fair to also associate Rev Farwell's views as those of Mr. McCain? Why is the media not jumping on that or on Rev Hagee's endorsement of Mr. McCain?

Why are the media and the political pundits not looking into the sources of the donations for the Clinton library? Why is it that the Clintons are not releasing certain documents?

Duuuuh........ Maybe they want to refrain from disenfranchising those voters who have yet to have their turn in the voting booth? Give them a chance to vote before they declare a winner since it's still a close call?

So exciting. The election is the Dems to loose. With Bush's ratings deep, deep in the dumpster, McCain has a two ton weight chained to his leg and given any sort of reasonable Dem candidate and platform has a slim chance at best. Yet the Dems seem determined to find a way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

The difference is if Person A endorse Person B. It is A that is assumed to agree with the opinion of B not vice versa.
For example I endorse McCain for President. It is reasonable for a fellow Republican to ask me "do you agree with Senator McCain that we should not drill in ANWAR". Naw I disagree with McCain, I think we need all the oil we can get.
It is NOT reasonable for a reporter to ask Sen. McCain. ClifP on the Early-Retirement board say abortion should be legal. Do you agree with him. It shouldn't matter if the endorsee is an obscure early retiree or a controversial preacher figure

There is huge difference between attending a church for 20 years, having the guy marry you, baptize your kids, and calling him you spiritual advisor and picking an election year endorsement.
