When a Maverick takes a stand it should be done with consistency. If you believe in something, that belief is reflected in everything you do. If you believe you shouldn't be celebrating when a city is being hit with a catastrophe like hurricane Gustav, that belief would have been demonstrated during the past 18 months.

I've been listening to the hoopla about hurricane Gustav and the Republican Convention all day and it has left me confused. Although this is a tragedy, it's not the only tragedy that has occurred during the past 18 months. I'm sure the news reporters have this information readily available and I would like to know where was John McCain and what was he doing during the 1500 tornadoes that went through the US in 2008?

Timing is everything and so is telling the truth.
