Maybe Moore has decided that free markets work. It looks like his efforts are valued appropriately.

I saw a film trailer yesterday for "W," Oliver Stone's new movie about Bush. It will be out just in time for the election -- should be fun.

Very cool! And pretty funny, actually. People of retirement or almost retirement age ignore (or make fun of) this generation at their peril. When unfunded mandates of Medicare and SS become problematic, the sh*t is going to hit the fan. Will these younger voters support candidates who want to continually raise taxes to fund Medicare? Who's going to pay for your heart operation or your diabetes treatments if Medicare is going broke?
A lot of these younger people already are pissed off that they pay into SS and don't expect to see any of it when they are old.

I am paying for people myself... I pay medicare contributions. So has DW. IT is not a freebie... it has been paid for.

The freakin government spent the surplus on other stuff.

On the subject of health care in general, younger people are in the same boat... They will age, have health problems... etc. They could easily wind up with health care needs that they cannot afford.

Not to mention that for every young person... there are parents are or will be recipients of Medicare. Do you think sons and daughters want to pay mom and pops medical bills directly?

It is not going to go broke... but things are going to change. That is a fact.

I just saw the "W" trailer on Youtube. Looks very interesting. I wonder how accurate it is.

The price of Mr. Moore's latest self serving liberal dreck movie is still too high for me.

Uh, sorry about that. I thought the readers of the Soap Box were supposed to be able to juggle two or more thoughts at the same time and even simultaneously hold diametrically opposed points of view. I certainly do
