ABC's "World News" had more balance than NBC's "Nightly News" or the "CBS Evening News," the group said.
Meanwhile, the first half of Fox News Channel's "Special Report" with Brit Hume showed more balance than any of the network broadcasters, although it was dominated by negative evaluations of both campaigns. The center didn't evaluate programs on CNN or MSNBC.

I think the joke writers will be a victim of their own success. McCain and Palin were easy targets, and the material the writers produced was funny and devastating. I'd bet the satire will cost McCain/Palin more than a few %. in the voting. Obama and Biden will not be nearly as much fun, so these guys will have to work a lot harder for the next four years, and we'll all suffer from the less entertaining send-ups.

The disparate satric treatment is ironic, as McCain has a good sense of humor and is refreshingly self-deprecating and open. It's easier to trust a person (politician, associate, boss) who can laugh at his own idiosyncrasies and mistakes. Obama doesn't seem have much of this in him, which is too bad.
