Would Hillary Run as an Independent?

Just was thinking during my run this morning, IF she does not get the 2025 total and Obama does not either but those supers get him over, I wonder what the landscape would look like with a three way race??

McCain
Obama
Clinton

Who would you vote for??

That would be handing it to McCain, so she (and the DNC) wouldn't let it happen...

A three-way? Now that's a deal that Bill would be most interested in...well as long as Hill was not involved...

No way. In my opinion if (when) Obama wins the democratic nomination he will lose to John McCain. Of course Hillary already knows it and will drag this thing out as long as she can to ensure the defeat, then sit tight until 2012.

By all calculations 2008 should be a democratic whitehouse year but the calculating Clintons know that 2012 will be the "prime" time.

The more I look at this thing the more a third party run as an independent by Clinton would see her win. Electoral college. She could win the big states and some.

It would show some well b@lls to make the move. It would be a big gamble but if she could pull it off.

Right on. After seeing Obama. I could stomach either Clinton or McCain

The crazy progressives would vote for obama, the republicans would vote for McCain BUT many republican women might just pull the lever for Hillary. The rest of the dems and many republicans sick of the past 8 years would I believe vote for Clinton. It can happen.

I have to agree that this would completely split the democratic vote and hand the White House to the Republicans.

This would seem to be a showing of her true colors though, if she runs then we know she is simply after power and by allowing 72 yr old McCain a single term she still has enough years left to gain a shot at 2012.

If she doesn't run she is submitting to the will of the party over her own desires. Of course she is trying as much as possible to do as much damage to Obama as she can. To me it will seem pretty disingenuous to stand behind him after this long drawn out and negative campaign.

Would you want a president who was an engénue?

Jimmie Carter came close. Was that good?
