Bedtime around our house is usually 8:30-9 PM because high school starts at 8 AM and our kid is usually up at 6 AM. (Well rested, well tested.) Spouse tends to sleep for 8-9 hours while I'm wide awake after six. I've been this way ever since my first sea tour, especially when I routinely had the 0600-1200 watch. On "bad" nights I'm awake after a four-hour sleep cycle.

And of course I nap! Just about every day for 30-60 minutes, depending on how hard the last workout was. Otherwise I'm barely functioning after dinner.

The real point of being retired is that I can pretty much choose when to sleep...
