- Was trained as a French Chef, owned my own restaurant in Santa Cruz, CA. Then was recruited by Dean Witter to be a stock broker. Was good at my job, was recruited to be a manager of my own office. Ran the most profitable office out of 700 branches. Retired in 1991 to travel the world.
In 2005 my wife and I wrote the book The Adventurer's Guide to Early Retirement, A Common Sense Approach which has sold in 39 countries around the world. Available for sale on our website, Retire Early Lifestyle.
We also contribute regularly to The Motley Fool and have been interviewed for Kiplinger's Personal Finance, SmartMoney, Channel 12 PHX, Channel 12 Cincinnati, Minyanville, and Bob Clyatt's book Work Less, Live More and others.
