- Born a Hoosier. Spent my childhood playing sports, participating in 4-H and Scouting, swimming in muddy, old farm ponds, and bicycling the countryside. In high school, I ran track for four years, barely lettering twice. Sang bass in school chorus, photographed for the school paper, and graduated with a miraculous B+ average, miraculous in that I rarely cracked a book...
Spent the 70s making "stuff" in factories, whilst being a worthless, no-good hippie. Then, after college, spent 25 years in the semiconductor industry, part-yuppie, part-hippie...
Now just trying to get to a number that will let me revert back to worthless, no-good hippiedom, hopefully around age 59...
