    I'm not sure there is a good reason, assuming that I understand the question accurately. If you are asking why we keep our finances separate, well, it's because it's how we started out and it worked and still works. We have split up the costs of our living together--but, it's not a 50-50 situation. I know I don't keep track, she might, but, I've never asked and she's never volunteered. Anyhow, (as far as I know) the finances seem to be working out well this way. We do go out of our way to be very fair and considerate regarding money.
