Hey; Just a short note to say how much I've enjoyed many of your posts. You seem to have this retirement thing figured out. I'm still trying to work up the courage to have a go at it, but just cannot yet walk away from a good paying job. I turned 55 back in February, and my wife and I would love to move back home in CenLa to be close to children and grandchildren. (6 yo girl, and 2 yo boy) We think they need their grandma, and poppy...when in reality, I think gm and poppy need them more.
Okay,...I said it would be short.

Biography

W2R retired in 2009 at age 61 after a career as a senior oceanographer for the federal government. She and her companion, Frank, are not married and do not live together, but have been devoted to one another for over a decade. They are Katrina survivors and have been through a lot together, but hopefully it is a new day and things are looking up.
