Sounds like you have researched retirement considerably, especially though this board. You have provided a lot of good info to many folks. I do hope you will continue your fine work here. I just retired on 10/18/09 and am going through the usual adjustment period after moving out of the area I lived in for so long and leaving many friends and co-workers behind. It all good...

Thanks for your reply to my post. Indeed, I'm genuine. Question, please: Can you suggest any threads, areas of the site, etc. where I can post to have the greatest chance of finding leveraged ETF users for my story? Hey; Just a short note to say how much I've enjoyed many of your posts. You seem to have this retirement thing figured out. I'm still trying to work up the courage to have a go at it, but just cannot yet walk away from a good paying job. I turned 55 back in February, and my wife and I would love to move back home in CenLa to be close to children and grandchildren. (6 yo girl, and 2 yo boy) We think they need their grandma, and poppy...when in reality, I think gm and poppy need them more.
Okay,...I said it would be short.

Biography

W2R is just days away from retirement from her career as a senior oceanographer for the federal government. Previously she held a faculty position at a major state university. W2R and her companion, Frank, are not married but have been devoted to one another for the last nine years. They are Katrina survivors and have been through a lot together, but hopefully it is a new day and things are looking up. Once they have shed the "golden handcuffs" of waiting for retirement eligibility, they intend to move north to Springfield, Missouri.
