Update:  I've changed the title of this post to better reflect what I actually say in the text. Ever since the Post 9/11 GI Bill was modified to allow service members to transfer their benefits to their spouse or children, I have been hearing people tell me that they are "saving" their GI Bill for their kids.  And my response has been:  "Don't do it."
