eliminates most of my arsenal, I think I will go fishing
instead.

JG, If I remember correctly you are 61 today and only a year away from applying for SS. I was less than elated to find out you aren't eligible to collect until the month following your 62nd birthday (unless it is on the 1st or 2nd of the month). Then you don't receive payment until be beginning of the next month.

This means you are now roughly 13 months and 21 days from collecting on SS and you can look forward to receiving that first check the beginning of November, 2007.

If Santa worked for SS, Christmas wouldn't happen until February....

Thank you very much for all the good wishes.
(Fishing was poor although you know about the old
saying that it sure beats working)

DW made me a special dinner and we toasted the event
I heard from 2 of my 3 kids and several old friends
by phone and/or e-mail. Have not picked up my mail in a while, so maybe some cards or letters in there as well.

A pretty nice day, all things considered.
