I'm really bugged by this story. Maybe it's because I lived around the corner from this Mc Donalds for years, right near the elderly inhabited apartment buildings and assisted living facility. Seeing elderly folks walking to McDonalds and Walgreens was an everyday thing.
She probably got up Friday morning to have her morning coffee and read the newspaper at McDonalds. This poor lady's last thought on planet earth was this lowlife thug who decided to steal her purse
Nice. She died yesterday by the way.
As a side note, I hope the DA throws the book at him regardless of whether she had pre-existing heart issues.
Elderly woman suffers heart attack after chasing purse snatcher

A 76-year-old woman suffered a heart attack while chasing a purse snatcher midday Friday, South San Francisco police said.
The woman is in intensive care at Kaiser Permanente Hospital, according to officers. A suspect, Trenal Clark, 18, of Daly City, is in custody.
Police unraveled the case as South San Francisco firefighters responded to a medical call at 11:49 a.m. at the McDonald's restaurant on El Camino Real at nearly the same time police investigated reports of a suspicious man rummaging through a woman's purse nearby.
Although police didn't located Clark then, descriptions of the man given by witnesses lead to his arrest during a traffic stop later Friday.
According to witnesses, the man took the woman's purse and she chased him but wasn't able to catch up. She then went inside the McDonald's and collapsed.
Police said Clark admitted to the purse snatching. Officers arrested him on suspicion of grand theft and burglary.
Officials said they may add additional charges in the case, once the investigation into what caused the woman's heart attack is wrapped up.
