I have a Garmin Nuvi 660. I want to play an audio book I have on the Garmin through my FM radio for better sound quality. The Garmin manual says find a spot on the "dial" with static and no radio station. Well my radio only tunes by jumping from one station to the next, through a scan process. I can't seem to tune into static. The radio manual doesn't help. Any ideas?

I'd recommend you turn on the transmitter and let the FM radio find it during the scan process. Chances are good that you won't be on top of another FM signal. If there is a conflict, just adjust te transmitter up or down a little and let the FM radio find it again. Soon you'll find a clear spot.

Also, realize that a "clear spot" in the driveway can change to a "hot spot" down the road. I run into this all the time with the Sat. radio. I'm periodically tuning for tunes, especially going thru metro areas on the interstate.
