I left the city left the school and I go and read my old newspaper online only to see this. Yes he was an A student, had him in class last fall. Really was a nice kid.

That's a sad story, and we see ones like it in every city. I can't add much to the reader comments already under the article. A kid out on the streets of Newark at 2 AM is not where he ought to be. But that's really a symptom of a much bigger problem.
