I was looking at the bi-monthly MorningStar fund reports last week at the library. In the supplement section (has the S- page numbers) there was reference to something being like "the economists favorite saying about the price of a mid-day meal".

I've never heard it... what is the saying?

Was it TINSTAAFL? Which means: "There Is No Such Thing As A Free Lunch"

Duh!

Thanks FD, that has to be it.

I guess I was expecting something really cerebral from Morningstar, and in the context didn't recognize then that "mid-day meal" was a euphemism for "lunch".

And here I thought I was going to learn something :p

As long as one remembers that Morningstar is a reporting service on mutual funds, and that's it, you will not be disappointed...........;)
