Hi everyone, Nice board here. I hope to learn alot here.
I am getting a nice 6-figure inheritance coming my way in '09. The money is currently in a trust fund and pays out in intervals based on my age. I would like to learn as much as possible about producing steady income from investing this money. I hope the experienced members here can help me:)

ninjaspy, welcome to the forum!

A nice inheritance can open up opportunities sooner that they might otherwise be available -- that's a good thing. I'm glad to hear that you're planning on investing it. The temptation to spend can be hard to resist.

Are you looking for current income producing investments? If you're planning to hold the money for a while and you don't need the income, you might want to look for capital growth instead. I'm fond of index funds myself for appreciation with limited short term tax liability.

There are lots of good investment books available. I'd recommend William Bernstein's The Four Pillars of Investing and David Swensen's Unconventional Success.

Best wishes, and good luck!
