Best SP500 ETF

Hello,

What is the best thing to have in a taxable account?

Load up on the SPY?

Is there an account that will automatically reinvest dividends?

Scottrade does not seem to allow that in the taxable accounts.

By taxable I mean it's not an IRA account, just a regular account.

Should I be with someone else like ShareBuilder.com if I want to start building up an SPY position?

why not just buy the Vanguard SP500 fund then? the advantage of an ETF is if you want to trade it like a stock without any trading restrictions
