Tweeting FIRE

Nice--although the "invest wisely" is easier tweeted than done as almost everyone found out last year!

Eliminate debt. Cut up plastic. Join pension. Buy home. Pay it off. Spend little. Save tons. Invest wisely. Be tax smart. Marry for life.

Sounds so easy! Where do I sign up for a pension?

Think this works if you take out " As a matter of fact," and don't count spaces - not a tweeter here.

Here is a complete financial plan that fits in a Tweet:

'Nuff said!

Way way too wordy - sounds like someone angling for a book.

Max tax deferred. Buy benchmark/lifecycle. Keep your day job.

Psst - Wellesley at retirement.

14 words which I think is over verbose.

heh heh heh - :greetings10: I probably could cut the words down. ;)

I don't think "Psst - Wellesley" works if you live in Canada.

Sooo - nobody's clued you in about 'the secret decoder ring' ?

:LOL::LOL::LOL:

heh heh heh - which bye the bye is not really a ring at all but a .

My lips are sealed. :D. Actually I don't remember the limitations imposed on Canadian's - so I guess to use Canadian dividend achievers and picking a good set of corporates would be tougher - I have the impression(sans any real studies to link) that the Canadians were ahead of the Americans tumbling to the importance of dividend/income streams thru various market cycles.

I also counted 14 words. You should rather upped it to 17 words.

You forgot your trademark "Heh Heh Heh".

Here are my 14 words:

Max 401K. LBYM. One third takehome to pay off debts and mortgage, and invest.

Get degree. earn more desire less. Pay yourself first. Max 401K. Invest smart marry smarter. No CC debt.

Find time machine. Turn it on. Go back to your mid-20s. Apply for government jobs. Accept one. :)

Better yet - travel to the future even for a couple of seconds so that you can execute a trade for profits. Obviously, you might have to make a few of these kind of trades.

OK, I'll have a go....applicable in any country....

LBYM. Only good debt. Invest sans fees. Actively allocate assets, avoid tax.

12 words, 65 characters.

Invest 100% in socca's hedge fund / ponzi scheme.

This will secure my retirement but no one else's. ;)
