It seems like mainstream music is moving more towards overproduced pop and away from extraordinary musicians. Here's a thread to post some of your favorite solos.

Lots of good solo's out there but this one came to mind. Steely Dan
Since some of my other favotites were already listed.

I was listening to some older Beatles tunes earlier today and began to realize I never gave George Harrison his due repect for all the fine Guitar work he added to the group. Seems like lots more credit was given to John & Paul.

You guys are just too young. Here's Jay Black from Jay and the Americans. Kenny Vance who is one of my favorite singers is in the back up group.

Age has nothing to do with it. Some people enjoy a wide variety of music across the ages. Still looking for the solo what mark did you find it at?

When I first looked at the title of this thread, I thought it said "Great Sobs" I need to get my eyes checked.

btw...great tunes!

Fantastic drum work.
Toward the end of the last solo, I was checking out the bass drum work. Really fast and very good.
Before the invention of the double bass pedal too.

Just noticed a couple of the Allman Brother links are gone.
Not sure if they were removed by the Mod's or not?
May have to visit youtube to see them.
Steve

Nope, not removed by us.

Well maybe I'll put them back up then.
Didn't know if I broke a rule or something?
I've been known to bend a few, but try to not actually break them :D
Thanks for the info,
Steve

PS. Just tried to put the Allman Brothers song back up and got the same disconnect.
Must be something happening on the YouTube end.
