I'm curious about the trends of ebay sales in general...supposedly 40 billion or so last year.

Like, how much more sales in the holiday season vs other times of year?

I've been doing real well buying and reselling a certain product, and am trying to predict what's going to happen in jan/feb

Thanks

Jason

I have been selling on ebay for a few years and November was really busy but December has been slower . I checked my last year sales and it was the same . I did stop shipping internationally after Thanksgiving until Jan.1 to avoid hassles with shipping . Sales usually pick up in January and are steady the rest of the year with occasional slow spots . I 'm sure it depends on what you sell . I sell business and party attire to thirty somethings .

yeah, this is the first year selling what im selling...nfl/football related apparel....so im sure the combination of holidays ending and the season ending will affect me to some extent...we shall see....

If you go to ebay and next to the button MyEBAY their is a button for community . It is basically ebay message boards . They are a wealth of knowledge . According to them December has been slow . They probably have a message board specific for what you are selling . I offered free shipping this month to ramp up my sales and it seems to be working .

i cant keep this stuff in stock! just got 25 new pieces...listed 6....took a nap...all 6 sold when i got up 1 hr later!

wish i had more for this holiday rush!!!

I had a friend who was a Chicago antique dealer tell me that the BEST time of the year for selling was January, because of all the holiday money people got as gifts.
