Last Minute Caribbean Cruise - DR or VI Must Sees?

I'm doing a bit of a last minute Caribbean cruise including three ports I have not visited before and would be interested any any off the beaten path must sees that are quick and easy from the cruise ports.

I will be in Samana, Dominican Republic on Monday, Feb. 1; St. Thomas on Tues; and Tortola on Wed.

If anyone has ties to or specific recommendations for a boat/captain in Samana to see the baby whales (whale watching), that would be especially appreciated. I might be doing some snorkeling and/or diving as well in any of these locations. Otherwise, I'll probably be doing some much needed laying on a beach avoiding the snow in Missouri.

I went there years ago and as I remember we went to the beach and then shopped in St.Thomas . We found a hotel where we could use their beach . I would go to Cruise Critic for up to date ideas .
