What you should do is offer the CD on the secondary market and see what offers come in. If rates are down from when you bought, you will get a good price; if rates are higher, not so much. Also be sure and check the fees for selling as they will eat into whatever price you can get. Good luck though with a 6 mo CD, you will be lucky just to get your money back because the secondary market for CD's is much smaller than for regular CD's...
