The Best Intentions of Mice...
...and men can go astray. Comcast's Xfinity financial section today has an article on how even 'good' financial planners can provide bad advice for their clients - all the while believing said advice is appropriate. The Comcast article is a summary of one shown on the AARP website in March, and that article is by Allan Roth.

The only point I disagree with is his admonishment to skip the free dinner. I try to go every other month, get dinners for wife and I, and then report back to AARP on what I heard.

I've seen a lot of vulnerable people at these dinners. Most of the attendees are just there for the free stuff, but you can spot the others.
