I am new to the site but honestly I can't put it down since I picked it up. I suppose it's like a good novel.

So if I had 100k cash to invest, where should I put it? I am sick of carrying this cash in my savings.

$100K to invest: The best place to put it depends on several things.
- When you'll need it (is this to be a downpayment for a house next year, or for retirement spending in 3 decades?)
- How does it "fit in" with the rest of your finances/savings. For retirement you'd want to build a plan and a desired asset allocation for your investments. This could be as simple or complex as you choose to make it. There's lots already written here about it, and many people willing to give their opinions.
- How much price volatility is acceptable to you?
