How do you capture an annuity when using firecalc,
I have an annuity (yes, I know annuities are bad. it is what it is. I inherited one). Value is 463,819.00 Do I include this in my assets now or do I include the amount of the monthly payments when I begin taking them?

Is this a stupid question? (lol don't answer that)

Thanks

I would include the monthly payments as a pension. Make sure you indicate the start date, and whether it's inflation adjusted or not.

Not a stupid question at all. It depends on what you intend to do with the annuity.

If you plan to annuitize it then include the annuity benefits as a pension as rodi suggests. OTOH, if you plan to surrender it and get the cash, then include it in your fixed income investents.
