My 403b has been sitting with my former employer for the last 6 1/2 years. All I've done is a periodic re-balance to 50/50 AA. I've decided to roll it over to a Vanguard IRA.

Now for the fun part, this is like creating a whole new portfolio from scratch. Below, I've outlined a first attempt at a new portfolio. Wellington and Wellesley have been included since they have been long time favorites. Any suggestions or critiques would be appreciated.

Details: $750K in pretax accounts, $175K in after tax account, no withdrawal from pretax accounts for at least 4 years. Desire 50/50 AA in pretax accounts.

Wellington 25%
Wellesley 25%

Total US Stock Market Index 15%
Total International Stock Index 5%
Value Index 5%

Total Bond Market Index 15%
GNMA 5%
TIPs 5%

I would think about not doing those 5% (distribute to others) and maybe upping the foreign.

just my two cents as I look at mine I have too many and can't sell now in my tax account as they have increased so.
