We just removed subjects on a 40 foot bluewater catamaran after successful sea trials and survey. Perhaps the investment with the biggest potential return that no financial advisor could ever recommend.

Now just need to sell the old boat, launch the boy and we are good to go. Just another year or so...

So if I put my cash in a boat, does that make me more or less liquid?

I think by definition less liquid. To me liquidity is how close you are to cash, so the boat is certainly less liquid than cash. The boat would also be less liquid than stocks or bonds, which can be sold more easily than a boat.

You are less liquid, but closer to complete liquid(ity)😀

Have the day you deserve, and let Karma sort it out.

With that boat, the answer is "Yes."

Less financial liquidity (given my assumptions as to resale ease and value)
Much greater life liquidity.

Floating rate investment, eh:D
