Every year we get a thread going about what we drive. Summer driving season is here. Thought I would start one for this year. Cars only. We can do a separate motorcycle or alt vehicle thread too...

1. 1966 mustang fully restored. 3 speed manual, 289, 2bbl 78K orig. had for 20 years and holding. Value keeps going up. Attachment 24160

2. 2013 Toyota Corolla 15K
3. 2001 Honda CR-V (DW). 120k- time for water pump and timing belt preventative maintenance.
4. 2001 PT cruiser. (DS1). 115k, just totaled by dear son. Bought from insurance co and now we also bought a $700 beater PT same year to parts swap and get his going again.

5. 1994 Subaru Legacy. 150K. Just replaced front half-axles and transfer case seals. Should be good for another 50-100k I hope. (DS2) Best snow car ever EVER.. Love that old piece of hoopdie swag!!!

You ?

2010 Hyundai Elantra Touring - 25K miles and has enough room with the rear seats down to carry our tandem bicycle (with the wheels off).

We're 9 months into the one car experiment and it seems to be working for us.

2009 dark gray Toyota Venza with I think 23,600 miles on it (don't make me go out there to check!). Picture below is from 2010 but it looks about the same.

I like having a new car, and this one is 7 years old; ugh, not new any more. I love having the remote entry and push button ignition, but I dislike some of the other electronics that I feel takes too many decisions away from me. But when I looked, nothing I have seen at Edmunds dot com looked any better to me.

We live in a fairly urban suburb, and everything we could possibly need or want is nearby. That's why the mileage is low.

1995 Dodge Ram PU - 160k miles. Still runs great. Will probably be the car we let our son drive if/when we let him get a license. (He's 15yo and we've started discussing learners permits... but I'm in denial about this.) Sometimes we go weeks without driving this, these days.

2006 (bought in 2005) toyota highlander hybrid. 103k miles. Our main driver.

We've talked about going to 1 car in the future. But teenagers who will be driving soon are holding us back.

Both cars are garaged.

One car??

One person - 3 cars here. 2004 Audi TT 60,000 miles, 2013 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon 49,000 miles (my daily driver), 1992 Ford F250 160,000 miles (my plow truck and construction hauler.) Between maintenance costs and insurance, especially on the Audi, I spend a bunch of money each year on cars.
