I'm doing a lot of yearly reviews of client portfolios, and had a doozy yesterday:
Me: So, what's changed in the past 6 months in your life?
Him: I decided to leave the US and move to Europe............
Me: Wow, what part?
Him: Sweden
Me: When are you moving?
Him: November 1st.
Me: So, your wife and you are moving to Sweden November 1st?
Him: Who said anything about my wife?
Me: Well...........mmm............sorry..........I just thought that..........
Him: It's about me, not her. She'll be staying here in the US.............
Me: And she's ok with that?
Him: She will be when she gets the telegram I'm in Sweden...........
Me: 
I have known both him and his spouse for 6 years. I had NO indication of problems with them.............obviously there was.............. 
I wish I was making this up...................
