We just discovered our credit union belongs to Allpoint (www.allpointnetwork.com). If your bank belongs, you can use any ATM in their network without the surcharge.

We just tried it today. I wasn't sure it was going to work, b/c I had to "agree" to a $2.00 service charge. However, when I got my receipt, there was no charge.

This is great, especially if you travel a lot and are away from your primary bank.
