It's about balance. If you want a second home badly enough to pay for it in additional time at work, you should do it. There are other options you might consider. Do you really want to own that condo, or do you want to live for a month in that location? If it's the latter, you might consider whether owning the condo is the most efficient way to accomplish your goal. Or could you find a place to rent for a month that would be more efficient? 
Another advantage of renting for a month is that you can change locations easily in the future if you decide to spend a month somewhere else.
