How about an option for "I don't have a million yet"?

That would be me - and I'm already ER'ed! (Current age is 50, about to turn 51).

You guys still gonna talk to me, or will it be one of those things that over time, I notice I'm not being invited to as many events as I used to be, or I see you guys in a group on the other side of the room talking - and I'm not part of that group.......or I walk into the room and it goes strangely silent

However, with a 760K portfolio, an AA of ~60/40, and a draw that is ~2% of the current value, I occasionally wonder when I'll hit $1M.

You made a big mistake mentioning this fact. Every time I have, I have noticed my posting privileges revoked and had to assume a new user name. :)

I am always amazed at how truly rich and young a lot of the posters here are....and while I appreciate their successes, I can't be the only one here who might feel a little insecure or embarrassed by my lack of financial success

How many mulligans have you [-]had[/-] been?

I'm just hoping the mods are snoozing as I have exposed myself accidentally again with last post!

Should we include the present value of all our future SS payments, along with any other pension?

Chuckle. 3 times I became a millionaire. I am hoping that the third time sticks around.

40 (dot.com boom)
44 (recovered from dot.com boom crash)
49 (recovered from 2007-8 recession)

At 52 this year, I just forayed into multi-millionaire territory.

For the millionaires here, at what age did you first have a net worth of $1M? Many, like me, enjoyed this milestone so much that we passed it several times going both ways. If that is you, list the age when you FIRST passed this milestone.

not 100% sure but I would say between 40-45

That's a good one.

I guess Mark Zuckerberg hasn't voted yet. :)

Oh, I wouldn't worry about it. The fact that you're on this forum and have an early retirement mindset probably puts you ahead of a good 90% or more of the general population :D

I always based Net Worth on investable assets without real estate.

Age 46 for the first million.

Took another twelve years to reach five million.

Age 51 when we first noticed it. We've recently hit 5 million 7 years later.

Don't think it matters one way or another since you are here too;). It's not how much you have so as much as what you MAKE of what you have. Reading the posts many have "won" and "lost" a million.

I guess you will be asked less frequently for the Grey Poupon going forward...;)

Va,

To help keep things in perspective:

- Over 22,000 registered users on this site and
- Less than 100 responses to this thread.

I think we have a wee bit of selection bias in these responders.

Also have you tried to put a dollar number on the value of your accrued SS benefits? I suspect this may be quite a large number. Any pensions would also help things.

Bottom line - Don't get discouraged!

I'm not sure what this means due to inflation, but it's still somewhat interesting.

For us (household) net worth hit 1M at 38. This is about 9 years after I got out of grad school.
