Holy cr@p, the sky is falling...

Hey, you know there would be.

Orrrr...maybe a flute? Any of the ladies here like to play the flute?

Only T-Al could endure that Trombone video. But I have to ask about the other clip--what the heck is playing on the tv behind tuba girl?

Bunny my man, now you've done it. I'm in love with Lisa, especially with her belly button.

This is going to be a difficult evening for me.

Ha

Eh, have a few slices of wheat bread and go dancing...maybe someone will be playing the trombone...

See, now that is what I'm talking about, thanks T-Al!
He's got some smoooooth moves for sure. I like that the audience was dancing with him.

Move along... nothing to see here...

Don't worry, be happy.

No such thing as deflation.

Just like real estate.... the stock market always goes up...

goes up... goes up

buy and hold

buy and hold

buy and hold

How's that working for you now ?

Pages ago... but since this is the second time I've seen CFB "egg" me on about this cream-in-the-carbonara deal..

Think of it this way (this may be helpful in the years to come):
The vast majority of Italian dishes use things that do not need to be refrigerated. That is because they were poor. Cheese can keep out of the fridge; eggs & bacon, too.

The hardest thing to deal with might be fresh fish, if there weren't the habit of the local Wed./Fri. fish truck.

When there's no more electricity, you'll thank me.

Is your post prophetic... is the electric grid going down along
with the stock market ?

My sister lives in Houston and lost electricity during Hurricane Ike.
She cooked the perishables she had on the patio grill... she boiled
all her eggs.

I'm still at hold with my old assets and I am actually putting new money into real estate and some equity now.

Yes, the markets have me disturbed at the moment, but I am still happy with my allocations and risk management.

I am betting on the long-term US economy, not the short-term market panic.

What do you think is going to drive the economy up in the long term?

The same thing that has driven the US economy up since this country was founded: Creativity, Research and Development, Intelligence, Hard Work, etc.

This country has more potential than any other country in the world.

If we have Creativity, Research and Development, Intelligence, Hard Work, etc. why are we in such a mess? It seems what has driven this economy for the last few decades is debt. We may have lost our advantage.

All right - I FINALLY enabled plug-ins since everyone is posting UTube stuff these days!

My sides hurt I've been laughing so hard! That dancing trombone player - priceless. I really like how he inspires the men in the audience to participate.

I'll let you know in five years. "Buy and hold" doesn't imply you're counting on the market to recover in a few weeks.

This is a retirement forum... some people don't have the luxury to wait five years
to recoup a big loss.

That used to be true. Now?
