    VW Settlement

Okay...all these numbers seemed a lot better than mine so I needed to go back and verify what I actually paid for my car and see what the real math is. March 2013 I paid $30,717 cash. This included taxes, tags, etc. According to my understanding of the settlement calculations I should get...

    VW Settlement

One interesting article I read indicates that VW needs to have a certain percentage of the cars off the road by the end of the settlement period. The presumption in the article was that if they do not get many takers they will up the price. Regardless, I will happily drive my car until the...

    VW Settlement

Actually there is a provision for that as well. There is a certain window where I think this is correct. It's a small window.

    VW Settlement

Anyone else part of the VW Court Settlement? Paperwork came today for me. There were no surprises and it seems as the news media has reported it. If I'm understanding everything correctly I can drive my car until Sept 2018. Return it then and get a cash settlement equal to the Sept 2015...

    Brexit!

Ha! Just the opposite. It's a moral imperative to buy the dip. Otherwise those sellers would have no exit and end up with nothing!

Cool FIRE article in MSN Money

I'm re-reading some of this thread and read their blog some. I have had a successful career in technology. But I think I'm getting old. I love the idea of banking a million and enjoying life some in my 30's. Maybe if I'm lucky and the sequence of returns is right, never working solely for...

What it's like in an Introverts head.

Great read. I'm a high extrovert...bride is a high introvert. I wish I knew this stuff during the first 20 years of marriage! It would have made for a much better relationship. I would have been far more accepting and patient. I read the book referenced (The Introvert Advantage) after I saw...
