Financial security is often a major objective in each of our lives. You try to do what is right for those you care about, but the wrong financial decision can often undermine the best of intentions. Ten+ years ago after a nasty divorce, I launched my career with financial advising and have been fulfilling my mission to educate and inspire people to find freedom in all areas of their lives.
I attribute ‘sticking to it,’ persistence, hanging on and focusing on the key business skills needed to be successful in the financial services industry, to still be here and standing after all the fallout of the past few years. Some high points include having achieved“Top Ten” status in 2007 (meaning I was one of the Top Ten Female Reps for the Western USA in the Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Company system) , as well as qualifying for MDRT (Million Dollar Round Table) in 2007 & 2008. I recently achieved the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) professional designation in November 2009, and plan to complete the ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) professional designation the 3rd Quarter of 2011. I am also studying for the Series 65, a securities industry licensing that will allow me to begin offering a Registered Investment Advisor platform. It’s a lot, but I find it necessary in today’s tough securities industry environment! That will be ENOUGH for professional designations!
I am the proud mom of three successful grown daughters and already have six grandchildren to enjoy. ( I found out recently that #7 is on the way!) Along with my new husband Butch, of the past two years, we have twelve grandbabies between us! My hobbies include having the constant support of my aged golden retriever, Kula, golf, reading, gardening, horses and scuba diving when I get the chance. The next scuba adventure will be this coming November when we travel to the Turks & Caicos for a one week break. When I am not out in the corporate world, I enjoy the serenity of Priest Lake, ID at my family’s cabin. I rent this cabin (weekly rentals) during the summertime, so I also have a landlord hat that is worn during this time! Assoc of Women Business Owners), on the Advisory Council for Lighthouse for the Blind, as well as being active in my church supporting the 48+ single individuals in my ward who sometimes struggle being single in a very family-oriented church.
